Mens Premier League - Mens Premier League - General News

Belconnen were undefeated in Mens premier league grades today at McKellar against ANU.

The 16s started the day on a high with a 5-1 win over Radford/ANU.  A goalless first half meant nothing in the second as 6 goals were scored. ANUs solitary goal from a cracking free kick and a thunderous volley from Devils younster Romeo Romero being the pick of the goals.

The 18s had to settle for a 1-1 draw in a game they largely dominated. After creating enough chance sin the first half to win 2 games the boys missed chances eventually cost them as Radford/ANU scored a scrappy late equaliser.

The PPL showed their character playing for 60mins with 10 men against minor premier chasing ANU, with a 2-2 draw. Down 0-1, teaming rain and having a player sent off not stopping the boys as they did enough to even win the game except for the referee not blowing a late penalty in their favour.

The PL finished the day with a comfortable 5-2 win. Goals from evergreen Danny Macor (2), Dusty Wells and Tai Smith - as well as an own goal - seeing off the students to move 1 point away from FC after they drew 1-1.

Next Sunday see's the Devils play FC in the derby of the season at Deakin. PL kicks off at 3, with 18s and PPL at 11 and 1pm respectively.
