4 wins from 4 for the Devils PL pathway teams Print E-mail
Mens Premier League - Mens Premier League - General News

Belconnen pathway PL teams, the 16s, 18s, PPL and Womens PPL, all recorded good wins on Sunday against rural opposition the Cootmundra Strikers. In a fixture that may become annual for Belconnen the PL teams showed too much class for their travelling opponents.

In the early game the 16s made light work of the Coota 18s team, scoring a 5-0 win. After a tight game on Thursday night against Canberra City 16s, the young Devils backed up well with a string of good performers and good goals.

The 18s then won 9-1 against the Strikers Reserves team, with many good performances, particularly from some of the newcomers to this years group.

The PPL team rounded off the day of matches against the Strikers 1st grade team and were quick out of the blocks scoring 5 in the first 25 minutes. If it wasn't for some brilliant goal keeping it could have been more. After half time the Devils continued to press and ended up winning 11-0, with Rohan Sheppard in goals for the Devils being hardly tested.

In the other game on the day involving Belconnens Pathway Womens team against the Strikers 1st grade women, the Devils won 3-0.

This week the pathway teams play Tuggeranong at Kambah 3. Kickoff's:
- 9am - Under 16 PL
- 11am - Under 18 PL
- 1pm - Premier Pathway
