Mens Premier League - Mens Premier League - General News

The prospect of playing at McKellar was even more exciting for the team than Friday night footy at Hawker. The team turned up only to be locked out of the ground, however once we had broken in with the keys it was all good.

The parents, manager, coaches set up the ground, thank you to all those who helped, and remember we play at home again on the 15th so your help again is needed.

We had two warm ups as the first one consisted of the team drooling over the pitch, in the change room the vibe was all about the ground until the coach spoke words of wisdom about the game. Also note that several players have listened to coach about appropriated football boots, good to see some players with Adidas Copa Munidal boots.

The game started and Belconnen dominated the game scoring nine goals. One of the goals has to be mentioned as a cross which turned into a goal. The scorer claiming he saw the keeper a metre of his line and decided to shoot from the edge of the field some 30 metre away.

The game turned out well for Belconnen with 9 goals, the team played well and didn't lose focus and played the whole 90 minutes which was very pleasing for the coaching staff.

Highlight of the day was the team song in the change room with the players, some Belnorth 14/15 development squad players and Mark O'Neill.

Thank you to all supporters and see you next week at Goulburn.

Goals scorers were Andrew Stirton x 3, Alex Gelonsei x 3, Joshua Colburn x1, Joshua Gaspari x 1, Zac Sorenson x 1 and finally Tim Bobalos x 1
