Finals time, and all three Belconnen United Women’s Premier League squads will compete in the first round of Semi Finals, to be held at Kambah this Sunday.

An outstanding season from what is ultimately a very young Premier League U18 side was capped off with a 15-0 romp over ANU on Sunday. The result secured 2nd spot on the ladder with an impressive 15 wins and +66 goal difference. The baby Blue Devils and will now meet Tuggeranong in the semi finals, and will take in the mental advantage of knowing that they successfully accounted for Tuggeranong on all 3 occasions during the regular season.

Kick off for Premier League U18’s is at 10am.

Belconnen’s Premier League Reserves have found a new lease on life over previous weeks and are showing all the signs of peaking at the right time for finals. After an 8-1 demolishion of ANU last Sunday, the side also finished 2nd in the league and will meet Belwest in their semi final. Resies finished the season with 13 wins and only a single loss recorded against their name, however this hiccup came at the hands of Belwest back in Round 3 and confirms that the girls will need to be back at their best this weekend if they’re to progress.

Kick off for Premier League Reserves is at 12:30pm.

With the Federation Cup and Minor Premiership already in the trophy cabinet, Belconnen’s Premier League squad will be desperate to make it 3 from 3 this year and there’s no reason why they can’t. Coming off the back of an 8-0 schooling of ANU last weekend, the girls are pumped and ready to tear through anyone who gets in their way. With a 17-3-1 record behind them this season, the girls deserve to be confident but are also experienced enough to know that finals are a whole new ball game and that they’ll need to take it to a new level when they meet Belwest on Sunday. Despite having been successful in all three previous meetings this season, Belconnen will need to turn up and be ready to showcase their A-Game if they’re to topple a Belwest who have also found some good form recently, and will be desperate for revenge.

Kick off for Premier League is at 3pm.
